Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and efficient mechanically minded person for a Machinery Maintenance position on our client's commercial almond orchard in Boundary Bend, Victoria.
You'll be required to maintain orchard machinery as requested by the workshop supervisor, including shakers, sweepers, pick-ups, bank-outs, and other machinery that are critical to the smooth running of the harvest. The role also sees you undertaking a range of other tasks to support the busy schedule, cleaning, and general labouring.
Starting ASAP for ongoing work, your work roster will be Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with possible weekend work throughout harvest season.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate has previous mechanical experience and will need to be physically capable of working long hours in dusty environments - those with allergies to dust and asthma are not recommended for these positions. To be considered for the role, it's important you can prove the following:
- Machinery maintenance skills
- Valid MADEC card - (To be organized for successful candidates)
- Able to converse in English.
- Able to work in dusty and hot environment.
- Physically fit and capable of working long hours.
